Angel and Maude Munoz Scholarship

Description: 

Awards are granted on a first-come, first-served basis provided the applicant is a qualified student.

Cosmetology awards may not exceed 50% of the actual tuition cost or up to a maximum of $4,000, whichever is less, for the entire program of study.

Community college awards may not exceed 50% of actual tuition cost or up to a maximum of $4,000, whichever is less, per academic year. Students may receive the award for a maximum of two years.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each academic term they meet eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements: 

Applicants to the Angel and Maude Munoz Scholarship Program must be: 

  • Hispanic high school seniors or graduates

    AND

  • Planning to enroll or are already enrolled at an accredited school of cosmetology in the greater metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri area. Students must be receiving Title IV funds. OR

  • Planning to enroll or are already enrolled in full- or part-time study at a community college located in the greater metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri area (Eligible counties: Jackson, Clay, and Platte in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte in Kansas). Students must be receiving Title IV funds.
