KCKCC - Technical Education Scholarships

Eligibility Requirements: 

Applicants must meet the following guidelines to be considered for funding:

  1. All students must have a KCKCC Admission Application on file and an ID number issued by KCKCC.

  2. Prior educational transcripts must be on file with the KCKCC Registrar’s Office, including high school, GED and/or all colleges attended.

  3. High school seniors in their final semester can attach an unofficial copy of 7th semester transcripts showing cumulative GPA to their KCKCC Foundation Scholarship Application. Final transcripts must be submitted after graduation.

  4. Dual enrolled High School students are ineligible for KCKCC Foundation Scholarships.

  5. Students must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program found in WebAdvisor.

  6. Using a Gmail account, go to the on-line application at www.kckcc.edu/foundation/scholarships.

  7. Please have the following documents ready to attach to the application:

    1. A one (1) page typed, double-spaced essay explaining why you chose your degree plan, what you plan to do after graduating and how a scholarship will assist in achieving these goals;

    2. A KCKCC faculty recommendation letter on KCKCC letterhead or an email sent directly to foundation@kckcc.edu from the instructor with your name and student ID number listed (if required by individual scholarships);

  8. Application and supporting documentation must be received in the KCKCC Foundation Office before 11:59 pm on the posted deadline. Applications without supporting documents are considered incomplete and will not be considered for awards.

  9. Scholarship recipients must return the KCKCC Foundation Scholarship Acceptance Form and Thank You Note to KCKCC Foundation by the date stated on the Award Letter or funding will not be received.

  10. Funds will be applied toward the recipient’s account before all other funding, including scholarships and federal financial aid. No direct cash refunds will be allowed.
