Suffolk University DiscoverLaw.org Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) Program

Suffolk University Law School is proud to offer the Law School Admission Council’s DiscoverLaw.org PLUS Program, an intensive four-week summer opportunity for undergraduate students to learn more about the practice of law and what it takes to become a successful law student.

Eligibility: 
  • Must be a current college freshman or sophomore at an accredited institution
    • Preference will be given to students who are members of a group that has been historically under-represented in law schools (African American, Latino/Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander)
    • Students with demonstrated financial need and who register on DiscoverLaw.org will be given priority
  • Must complete an application packet, including writing sample, resume, sealed transcripts, income verification form, personal data form, one page personal statement, certification and release of information form, and 2 letters of recommendation
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Must commit to attending all seminars, workshops, and activities sponsored by the SU DiscoverLaw.org PLUS Program and webinars during the academic year
  • Must articulate an interest in attending law school
  • Must participate in an interview with the selection committee through video conference or in-person
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
