Keith Sherin Global Leaders’ Semester in Washington D.C.

The Keith Sherin Global Leaders’ Semester in Washington, D.C.is offered by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), and hosted by Marquette University's Les Aspin Center for Government. The program is available to TRIO students who will be eligible to spend a semester working in a congressional office and learning about the political process. The internship-scholarship covers tuition, fees, and housing for the semester program, which provides up to 18 credit hours. COE will also provide a modest food and transportation allowance as needed.

Eligibility: 
  • Must be a TRIO SSS or McNair Scholars participant
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be at least a sophomore in college
